Music legends Johnny Cash & Neil Young drove big gas guzzling V8 powered boats that are now conveniently for sale on craigslist. Do you get Cash's black 1991 560SEL for $30k or Young's white 1978 Eldorado for $15k?
The singer and songwriter Neil Young made it big in the 1970s, first by helping form the band Buffalo Springfield and later Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. His signature falsetto vocals and folksy guitar/piano/harmonica/clawhammer accompaniment earned him boat loads of cash and a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. What sort of car does a 30-something performer with loads of cash drive in the late '70s? A 911 Turbo? Nope. BMW 635? Nope. Try this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! currently owned by Neil Young and currently for sale in San Francisco, CA for $14,950 via craigslist. Tip from Kaibeezy.
The name Biarritz comes from the name of a small coastal Basque town in what is today considered part of France, although some Basque folks may disagree with you. The town has a few casinos and became a luxury vacation spot many years ago and fit well into GM's use of names like Riviera, Monte Carlo and Calais. This Eldorado should not be confused with Neil Young's !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the hybridized 1959 Lincoln Continental that !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . The Eldorado is not known to have been involved in any fires.
The 1978 Eldorado is hauled around by a 425 cubic inch V8 that is mated to the front wheels and puts out
180
horsepower and 320 ft-lbs of torque. Only the best comfy sofa chairs are used in the '70s Cadillac interior
and Neil Young's Biarritz is no exception. If the tunes on the radio
don't put you to sleep the seats certainly will.
Up next is the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! currently offered for $30,000 in Ventura, CA via craigslist. Tip from _MNMLST_. The W126 longwheel base with the big 5.5 liter V8 is indeed a special version of the Sonderklasse from Stuttgart. The seller doesn't provide many details other than to say that the car is being sold in an estate sale from Cindy Cash, although public records indicate she is still alive and well. With this big beast it should be called a saloon sale instead of an estate sale...
The chatter in the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! consists of a boatload of Johnny Cash related puns and pointing out the big panel gaps where some crash damage was questionably fixed and the application of the 560SEL emblems on the wrong side of the trunk....but the big question is the $20k-$25k premium over a non-celebrity owned example worth it?

As Lynyrd Skynyrd once said of Neil Young, "A southern man don't need him around anyhow."
Give me the Benz.

Cindy Cash is still alive and is simply relocating and selling off some of her collection. Check out this Oppo article I wrote about the JC Unit One tour bus .
